Today minister of the Interior Yuriy Lutsenko stated that Russian authorities have no intention of detaining two Ukrainian senior politicians who are suspected of committing serious crimes, and who are now residing in Russia.
Ukrainian authorities would like to commence extradition proceedings against former Odessa mayor Ruslan Bodelan, and Former Kyiv regional administration head Anatoliy Zasukha, but it seems this cannot happen until they are detained.
More details on Bodelan here, [and about Vladimir Scherban, about whom I recently blogged]
Zasukha's wife is a PoR VR deputy [#117 on the list], as is Scherban's son, Artem.
What about the bandits?
