Ukrainian politicians take note...

British prime minister David Cameron are taking an Easter holiday in Spain.

"It is their first foreign holiday since he became Prime Minister last May, and Cabinet colleagues have been urging him to take a break.

The couple aborted plans for a luxury family holiday in Thailand at Christmas amid fears it would appear excessive at a time when thousands were losing their jobs.

It is not known how much they paid for the [scheduled] Ryanair flights, but an equivalent return trip next week would cost £152 each.

They are staying in a three-star family-run hotel, where a double room costs 120 euros (£105) a night."

They received no special treatment: A fellow passenger took the photograph above of the couple in the departure lounge ahead of the Ryanair flight from Stansted airport to Malaga.

Ukrainian politicians will not believe this story...

Everyone knows that the PM earns enough money to be able to afford more than Ryan Air flights so it all looks like a very tacky publicity stunt. Maybe they're not criminal like Ukranian politicians but that's not the way to go either. It's a pretense and not honest.

You are right - this was, to a certain extent, a publicity stunt...but it shows that Cameron and his advisers are sensitive to the opinions of the electorate...exotic holidays and costly chartered flights, as used by Ukr politicians of all colours are best avoided at times of economic stringency. And Cameron and his family have been spotted several times taking v. modest, short holiday breaks incognito in the UK since becoming PM..
Ukrainian politicians love flaunting their [ill-gotten?] wealth bigtime and sod what anyone thinks...this is what gets up my nose...

True - so the question how come it doesn't bother the Urkainian electorate? They flaunt their criminal wealth and the people carry on voting for them so they carry on flaunting it. (Apparently Cameron "hiding" a few millions of albeit legitimate gain). Yush sort of tried to appear a bit more modest and it made no impression (that is no-one cared that everyone else was carrying on lying) whatsoever so he soon realised he needn't bother and he kept his stolen house.
